Holistic & Intuitive Educator

Begin here

Many families reach out to me during times of deep overwhelm –
when life feels out of rhythm, and clarity is hard to find. These
moments are often messy, emotional, and vulnerable. They’re also the moments that most deserve compassionate, hands-on support. These are tender, vulnerable moments, and my role is to offer hands-on, practical support that gently meets families where they are.

Whether you’re navigating neurodivergence, burnout, school distress, or simply a sense that things are off balance, you are not alone. While I frequently support neurodivergent families, a formal diagnosis is not required. Sometimes it’s simply a knowing – a felt sense that something needs to change.

We were never meant to parent in isolation. The nuclear family was never designed to hold everything alone. The village many of us long for may not exist in its traditional form, but we can reimagine what that support looks like – together.

With practical, attuned care and space to breathe, our nervous systems begin to recalibrate. From there, we can find steadiness, renewed hope, and a way forward that feels more aligned and sustainable.

If this resonates with you, you’re welcome here. This is the beginning of a gentler, more supported chapter.

About me

Welcome, I’m Lis.

I’m a mother of three grown children, originally from Melbourne, Australia, now living in Forest Row, near Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. My home is shared with two rescue cats – one from Australia, one from Greece – each bringing a unique energy that gently shapes the pace of my life.

I am currently training in Somatic Experiencing, a body-focused approach to healing trauma and regulating the nervous system. This work deeply informs my practice, weaving nervous system regulation throughout my support for emotional wellbeing, resilience, and holistic health. By understanding how our bodies hold stress and
trauma, I aim to help families and individuals find greater calm, safety, and balance in their daily lives.

As a holistic educator and mentor, I work alongside children, adolescents, and their families to support more conscious, connected ways of learning and living. My approach is grounded in presence,
emotional regulation, and simplicity.

My Approach

I see every family as a unique ecosystem, and my work is centered on meeting each one with care, attunement, and respect for their individuality.

Whether I’m supporting a family through unschooling, free schooling, or navigating educational health needs, I bring a calm, mother-centered perspective that honours the emotional and relational aspects of learning and growth.

Simplicity and intentionality are at the heart of my philosophy – less noise, more connection.

Background

I began my career working as a Child and Adolescent Advocate and Social Work Case Manager where I worked at a community level to support adolescents transitioning back into the educational system.

I also volunteered my time working in Women’s Health and Advocacy in rural Victoria, Australia, where my passion for women’s empowerment first began.

For the past seven years, I have focused my skills and knowledge working in private education in England, where I have supported children primarily in prep education and also in specialist SEN provision with adolescents.

Prior to this, I worked in private preschool education supporting early Years Educators in Australia.

Through the years of working with families, I have come to understand that it “takes a village to raise children”. And it really matters that educators pay attention to details, have a progressive and holistic approach and see things from a greater perspective. That is why, I am committed to supporting families to bring the village closer to home and find more equitable ways that families can support their families in education and health.

I help families overwhelmed by health information – especially those navigating neurodivergence, executive dysfunction, and stress – by offering personalised, holistic guidance around nutrition, wellbeing, and organisation. My approach emphasises the role of balanced nutrition and self-care in emotional regulation and overall health, and includes education on The Root Brands’ products as part of a broader, accessible framework. While I don’t diagnose or treat illness, I support families in making informed choices and connecting with trusted professionals to meet their unique needs.
